About our Team

Head of the Team Ken Thaine Managing Director

Ken's business background encompasses both the tourism and IT industry. For the last 20 years, Ken has been managing his own holiday complex in Coffs Harbour. Prior to this, he enjoyed numerous years working for NCR as a programmer, senior analyst and marketing manager. In 1989 he purchased a commercial level desktop publishing system with the objective of creating new marketing strategies for his own property and other tourism businesses.

He is passionate about the promotion of small business particularly in the tourism industry and believes that in order for Australia to sustain a successful and well-reputed tourism industry, a united and co-operative approach is crucial.

With a vast knowledge of the tourism industry, and understanding the importance of direct bookings and referrals, Ken's experience as a tourism operator has led to the creation of Travel in Oz; the first comprehensive National database linked Website designed specifically to meet the needs of tourism operators and travellers like you!
